Once again Brian has done his best to paint a pretty picture. Yes, they are only on the roadsides and this is significant, and I'll come to that latter.
Are these results good? For Ionic clays I'd say the TREO is ok and is very much on par with AR3 considering this was not resource drilling. The big problem I see with this and for AR3 is the thicknesses. This is by far the biggest factor which has kept AR3 a minor player. No doubt the Loxton Parilla sands are wide spread over a huge area and it is mostly shallow for LNR in this particular block. It should have come as no surprise that the same Parilla sands for AR3 over a huge area is probably almost identical for this particular block.

When looking at other deposits of ionic sands they have thicknesses in 10-20m. MEI and the Chinese deposits are all thick. So it really isn't bad to think about the economics of this. Is it worth digging up for example 10m of someone's lease or freehold land for 1m thickness of REE. I'll let someone else work it out but on a rich area, you may have about 50gr of Pr and 200gr of Nd in a ton. Google the price of these metals. You have about 2 tons to a cubic metre. You have to spend on digging , process the ore and then rehabilitate the land. The costs mount up for that 1m thickness where as it is not significantly more if you have extra metres of ionic clays. Same argument can be applied for the Gascoyne and I'll also mention that my interest in LNR is almost totally the Gascoyne project.


Back to the roadside drilling, roads of this size are mostly crown land. Easy to apply permission, easy access and no damage really to the verges. If LNR decide that worthwhile REE mineralisation extends to leasehold and private land and want to do exploration, um not so easy. Makes Indigenous approvals in the Gascoyne a walk in the park. Id say it would piss most landholders if their vineyard, wheat field, paddock got chewed up. People seem to like facts here. I invite someone to inform this crowd approximately 1 cubic metre of ionic clay is worth. GDoggy can have a go since he thinks he knows.
