The number of engineers you have ignored who all confirmed events, just so you would believe the odd Cessna pilot who anecdotally said "that sounds impossible", I think is far more concerning than anything else.

You would probably even chose to believe some of the mind boggling stupid stuff that bhadly has just said over thousands of hours of engineering reports because it is more exciting to think that you are Neo living in the Matrix than admit that, yeh, we are all just humans living fairly normal lives that occasionally get interrupted by freakish occurances that we struggle to believe, hence the description of them as being freakish, not every day.

Sure, alot of things had to go well for this to happen but I bet if you check their mission plan you'd find it was actually a massive fail where alot of their objectives were not met. In fact, I bet they would have been equally surprised by the building collapses in NY and never imagined they would have happened.

It takes a "first time" of anything before we can actually know what to expect from something.

First time eclipses were observed, im sure it would have been the religious nutter conspiracy theorists who tried to blame it on "the man" in heaven. Scientific minds would have been ridiculed for suggesting it could be explained with logic.

Nothing new. Cookers are always trying to mystify things for more razzle dazzle.
