Well, I've been gradually increasing my holding in this company for the past eleven years... and topped up my bet a bit further just last week, so I certainly haven't lost faith, but...
I haven't lost my memory, either!

About two years ago, when this mysterious "energy ink" was first announced, we were treated to a feast of wildly excited posts about electric aeroplanes and self-propelling bulldozers and all sorts of other things... and the price almost got to a dollar...
and a few smart people quietly converted wide-spread gullibility and premature expectations into obscene profits...
and then all the wildly excited rampers couldn't believe what was happening when all the hot air started to leak out of the price and it actually started DOWN again...
Smurf was among others who wisely took profit somewhere on the way back down to earth, as I would have done also, if my computer hadn't failed and because of where I live it was two months before I could get back online again. But then the cynicism took over and as recently as last month people were still writing nasty, unfounded things about the directors... who DIDN'T ramp the price up... or down. And there was NO EVIDENCE of insider trading... but that's a bit beside my point.

The point I'm gettiing to is that we still know very little about this technology. Unless I've missed something recently, we STILL don't know how much POWER it is capable of producing. Current in milliamps (or microamps) sure, but against what resistance? Driven by what voltage?
Power (Watts) = Current (Amps) X EMF (Volts). Does it absorb water in the process? Does it need drying out to "reboot" the process?
Apparently, it will be cost effective in powering disposable skin patches... for a fortnight, before they are discarded. But as a technological advancement over solar? We don't throw our solar panels away after a fortnight. Across the planet, solar panels are now covering square miles of territory, soaking up sunshine and turning it into electricity. Thousands of tonnes of various materials have gone into building these solar farms... and roof-top, and pole-top, and calculator-top, and watch-top installations. Will energy ink "batteries" be as cost effective to produce on a similar scale? Or is it still a major achievement when production quantities can be ramped up from millilitres to litres?

What percentage humidity do they need for optimal output... or ANY output? Does output fluctuate with humidity, or temperature? Will water drip off them and need drainage in large-scale applications? Does the air from which they draw the energy change temperature as a result?
    SO MANY UNANSWERED QUESTIONS!

What am I getting at here? YEARS ago, I had the thought that if the price of SOR shares ever reached $2.00, I could sell out and be set for the rest of my life. If it got to $3.00 or even $5.00 I'd be even better set. I have NO IDEA what the upper limit of SOR's possible price is, but I remain as unshaken as ever in my belief that some day it WILL be exponentially higher than it is today. HOWEVER, as Burge13 has wisely pointed out, there are a lot of IFs in some of the "equations" being expounded here. If you want to come for this ride, place your bets quickly because the race has already started. But don't get too carried away by your own fantasies. Don't bet more than you can afford to lose - as some people apparently did last time. Horses fall over. Jockeys fall off. Things go wrong. They have done in the past. They will do in the future. Stay calm. Save the celebrations until after you've won.

Until we KNOW for sure, let's just get set on whatever position we're comfortable with - and can afford - then sit quietly on our hands for a few more weeks and wait for the outcome. And in the meantime - please - no more fantasies about electric aeroplanes!

    Pig.
