For existing projects, the laws in force when the operating permit was granted continue to apply until the permit expires and is renewed.

The announcement is so vague that we don’t know whether the halt is related to the parts that apply to all miners, new and old, or whether there is contention around the application of the transitional provisions to the Goulamina project.

Time to tune out the trolls for a few weeks and wait for an update from Simon.
