Craig Hooper has been writing decent stuff for Forbes from all angles on Austal for years. His former insider status - and what appears to be a genuine interest in the success of the company - is what makes his commentary quite compelling. Imo he doesn’t simply scratch the surface in his articles, he goes into a lot of detail compared to the usual mainstream media parrot pack. Simply because the message he conveys this week is somewhat unpleasant does not suddenly make him a plant or a flack imo.
