I see a lot of weakness here when patience comes. Let's understand, why Kwinana was dumped. My understanding is, that management realized that things have changed when it was originally planned, almost a time frame of 2 years and now it is not feasible/profitable to build Kwinana due to cost escalation after covid. So what is wrong with this? I see it as a prudent decision. If Syr in production is not profitable in existing conditions then how would have Kwinana survived? I see it as a smart decision to save cash and don't get burnt out in a loss-making entity. but I see here people cribbing that in the last 10 years and blah blah. Why don't they compare their investment with SYR, wkt, ev1, bkt, nvx and many more?
Coming to Tanzania, BKT got the license more than 2 years back, still they are bleeding day and night, too much diluted and waiting for finance. EGR is in a much better position, so why so much crying? I know a lot of people want to jump from RNU and want to get in cheap here. People invested here know they are in Africa, they know the risk so why cribbing?
If we need to survive the graphite business, everything that reduces cost makes sense. These announcements are a game changer if we realize the importance. EGR has differentiated itself from others by having patents and thinking beyond just mining. so what is wrong with it that so many people are crying? Graphite sector is all down so why to blame on EGR for it. Anyone invested in graphite mining is at big loss.
All in my opinion.
