Timing and also trading style. He was buying a lot of the same shares as I was. I was taking stop losses and he didn't use them. So I was loosing money and he was doubling down. When it did turn I wasn't fully invested and I didn't ride my winners long enough. He's still riding some of his. I learned a very important lesson from him.
