I watched it live and loved watching her win as well.
That is the sort of thing that brings Australians together. At the time though, I don't recall anyone bringing up the constitution or changes to it, Freeman's Bi Racial background, or anything other than her huge achievement... Tho there was the suit thingy.
As far as I'm concerned Freeman is a national sporting hero and the whole of the country still see's her as such.

All that aside I will still be voting NO.
Freeman has her opinion and point of view which is entirely hers to have, just as millions of other Australians have the right to express as well.
If some people are swayed by her opinion then so be it, I do not think any less of her achievements or herself personally based on her opinion.
I just simply disagree with her opinion.

People need to stop and consider the individual choice that we are allowed in this country to vote the way we want to. Being described as this that or the other, harassed and screamed at, denigrated and placed into political subgroups based on a political point of view only go's towards hardening personal points of view and all but does away with a reasoned discussion on the subject.

I am yet to see any vehement screaming mobs of No voters outside of Yes campaign rally's or stalls on the streets of Australia nor anything close to the rhetoric from leaders and architects of the Uluru Statement of the Heart either, Such Racist and Insulting comment all seems to be coming from the Yes side of this campaign.

Freeman didn't just win a race, she bought our whole country together behind her and spent over half her life training and practicing to get there at that point in time of her life. I don't begrudge her choice to vote how she want's, nor anyone else's but but don''t call me a Racist for simply disagreeing with your opinion on how this vote should go and it's effects on the country.
