It took 2 terms of the Liberal government to start to make the debt they inherited from the Labour party under control and then created the surplus with the help from the mining boom. This time the Government Debt is that much higher and increasing by ( The figure that I am told ) 100 million dollars per day without the ongoing already commited spending.
