Bermudian investors to snap up Thorn Group
Joshua Peach
Bermuda-based investment group Somers is set to snap up its remaining stake in financial services small-cap Thorn Group for cheaper than first expected.
Somers, which already owns a major stake in Thorn, put forward a $1.62 per share offer earlier this year, but has now dropped that to just $1.17, following the sale of Thorn’s asset portfolio to fellow ASX-lister Resimac Group for $16.7 million.
Shares in Thorn plunged more than 25 per cent, following the sale but have lifted this morning on the revised offer.
Thorn Group last traded 3.2 per cent higher at $1.14.
Is Duncan Saville the owner of Somers?
He also owns a few million HUM shares?
Resimac also own a million HUM shares?
AA managed to get himself to 25% ownership of HUM, looks like he needs to protect his interest.
Will we FINALLY see a "NORMALISED" profit in February?
