I see it this way Roy. With debt, LTR is valued at approx' $7B.

Less cash $2B (ball park with tax and a few other liabilities removed), PLS valued at approx' 10B

I'll let others decide what is better value.

Just as a disclosure. I sold all LTR holdings yesterday at 301. My reasoning. In this market, the next best offer maybe 320. That will take months to play out and the risk is ALB, Gina and co are ruthless mining moguls who will step on their grandmothers to make a buck. Any sign of blood and they will crush retail holders.

Can I better utilise the funds somewhere else? IMO, yes.

I note the first up and down waves are in today. 386 low, so far and 399 high, opening gap closed. Obviously value investors have stepped in risking cut hands, maybe. Not saying it's not good value, I'm resisting the urge, currently, as the maggots have a way of piling on extreme hurt.
