I'm far from being a pensioner. If you didn't know, a pensioner relies on Government handouts. I'm totally self-funded.
I care, because I held a large holding here and got out with a reasonable return. Half of what I could have, if I'd been less greedy and less starry eyed.
I care, because after doing all my own research and due diligence, I invested big time in Brain Chip. I simply fell in love with the newness and vision of the Edge technology they were saying they could create. Replicate the Brain! They said the market for it would be world and investor changing.
I care, because of all the decent people who invested at the same time with me, and who I'd built a comfortable and supportive rapport with on HC.
I/We read all the articles, You tube commentaries, FN Arena, **le equities, Motley fool, MorningStar and everything else that mentioned BRN. I even met some for coffee/beers.
I rode with it all the way from 41c to $2.13.
Then, it started it's twelve month slide, starting with the "table Cloth" saga.
Warning bells were ringing loudly, yet I held firm believing all the hype and disbelieving the naysayers.
When it dropped a dollar from it's highs, I sold out at $1.13.
It was by far my biggest holding, so even though I'd made the informed decision, I was still anxious about it.
So I continued to follow BRN. Would there be a right time to buy back in?
That right time NEVER came.
It was just one stroke of mis-management after the other.
So, now After over a 90% decline in SP since 2022, I watch only out of a sense of morbid curiosity, and worry for my old contemporaries that I shared when I held.
I get upset when people on here claim to be, or allude to be Neuromorphic, or Share buying experts. Pumping this to the unwary to make themselves feel intelligent, all the while dishonestly leading the hopeful down the path of self destruction while brandishing the shiny poisoned apple.
At my age, and being self-funded, investments are critical to my wife's and my lifestyle.
Losing 37% in a week would be a massive blow to us and will be for anyone in our position.
So when you go so hard spruiking BRN, despite it's huge fall from grace, keep in mind that for some, this is their livelihood and not just a play thing for the big headed tech heads.
It's critically about returns. It's about our wealth. It's about our life.
So, yes I'm passionate and I don't like BS wrapped up to look like well informed expertise.
Do I want BRN to fail? OF COURSE NOT!
Do I want to expose the charlatans. Bloody oath. It's my new hobby!
