Those shares at that time were dumped by MEO's bigger shareholders, Xtract PLc (Cambrian O&G), Palmer's RDI & Bank of Ireland (BIAM ltd), besides plenty minority stakeholders who got their fingers burnt on the back of the next big water discovery in the NWS (note: ~20m was still gas saturated & too thin to b classed as commercial).
