Not trying to antagonise or inflame (enough of that goes on here), but I think youbhave interpreted this Plato guys very sensible comments.
I don't think he is a "complete idiot" - the comment about Brainchip's website and not being able to figure out what they do etc - in context - appeared to be more an indication of how poorly set out the companies goals and vision are on that site.
Clearly Plato see Brainchip as a very, very poor investment - second most "red flags" of 10,000 companies (I recall that was the figure) they look at. The asymmetric risk was quite clearly their worry about an insignificant announcement (patent was his example) spiking the price 10%.
It was not in reference to Brainchip being poised to dominate the market, in Plato's opinion.
He specifically mentioned HotCopper and tbe retail excitement and frenzies - that is their risk.
I've been invested here before, and I believed some of the hype. It may even be justified! Sincerely best of luck.
But be wary - professional investors simply don't want to get involved in this company. There is likely a reason for that.
If "10 x Microsoft!" was really coming for Brainchip (and I know that was partially tongue in cheek and not saying you yourself bought into that) Bill Gates would now own the company, or at least be significantly invested. As would funds like Plato.
If HC retail can spot that coming in the future, the pros would be all over it.
Shorters don't invest in brilliant companies and hope they can change the narrative and get a win... that's a terrible strategy. They invest in over-valued businesses and wait for reality to arrive.
Also - the HC obsession with "paid downrampers" and "shorters" is overdone. Forum discussion is always hyper polarised, and given the significant financial investments and associated emotions here, it is pretty fertile trolling ground.
People love trolling for reactions online, and any forum with traffic has trolls. A lot of those here bashing the company are just trolls - not salaried or compensated stock bashers, not "shorters". Just trolls having fun on a sub forum that is super easy to get bites.
Sorry to intrude anyway, and again not trying to be a jerk. But be careful of confirmation bias and possibly re-listen to the Plato guys comments. They may be wrong about Brainchip, sure - but they clearly view Brainchip as a very poor business, and they seem to do generally pretty well.
Edit: I don't hold Brainchip, didn't update that since my last post on this forum before posting.
