Did you hear what he said about the company mate? He asked the interviewer if he had ever seen the company website? the interviewer sniggered and he openly admitted he had no idea what they do.
They have no idea what they are shorting they only see 2 things an overvalued company(in their opinion) and little to no revenue. They are gambling.
If you believe for 1 second that "Trolling" an online forum to change sentiment doesn't work then you definitely didn't listen to what he said about HotCopper in the interview and are being fecetious. They use places like this to guage sentiment. They do the same on Twitter(the motley fool for example. They are 100% shorting the company). The other forum is more difficult for them but manipulators have been found there too. People with multiple accounts etc. and I'd be happy to wager that it's happening here too.
My view on shorting should be well known at this stage. If you engage in it then you are a different type of scumbag(and I'm being nice about that). It's fake sell volume and should be illegal. I've had people say but the SP would only go up then. Thats total BS. The US banned shorting in 2008 for a brief period yet the SP of most stocks continued to fall. The only people who lose are retail investors.
