Backing your call is not "emotionally attached"

On the other hand selling because prices are going down is an emotional decision, given that prices falling does not mean anything (and you cannot predict they will continue to do so, regardless of how many triangles you try to draw on a chart with your crayons). When people sell because of falling prices they are selling out of fear of watching their investment decline (emotional), not because their thesis has necessarily changed (if it has then that's a different thing)
