Some interesting Hydroxide figures posted by Joe Lowry
Joe has always made the point there is no one price for lithium & you can't go by spot prices.
I track the daily spot prices for Hydroxide CIF China, japan & Korea.
On July 28 it was $40,750 dropping to $29,800 by the end of August.
yet the average prices paid by Korea was $47,161 and japan $50,507, these 2 countries accounted for over 90% of China's exports.
These prices significantly above the quoted spot prices
China's export volume was a 30% increase month on month and 44% year on year
A significant increase in non Chinese Demand, can supply keep up with these sorts of figures.
IMO prices aren't as depressed as the Chinese would have us believe.
