    I'm glad you are watching this Pledge. Seriously.

    I'm interested in 1) what the control to test arm split is to be. Is it going to be 30 (contol) and 30 (test or treatment) or 40 (treatment) and 20 (only control arm)?

    2) Will Kilian and Jolena get bonuses for the (in my opinion meaningless and potentially worthless (but also potentially very valuable (it entirely depends on the quality of what was done not the mere doing of something)) for just starting the GVHD phase 2 - ie before a single patient is recruited)? I don't think they should - but if they can convince a bunch of nuff nuffs on the board that that is the industry standard there is a good chance they will unfortunately get bonuses for meeting (generic and in my opinion bs industry standard milestones that are meaningless) in my opinion. One caveat, out of fairness, the chairman did say no milestone payments were made for commencing MEND as I recall - in relation to a specific question put to the board on that in an AGM. So maybe sometimes they get something right.

    In my opinion Jolena might have some game in setting up good trials. And Kilian might have learned some lessons from stuffing up MEND and might have some game now. But its impossible to tell on the KPIS and the info that is placed in the public domain whether that is actually so - whether they have GAME (competence, skill sufficient for the task) now.

    What is observable - and you are doing a good job of focussing on that - is the passage of time. As weeks pass and there is no announcement of a first patient having been processed either with control or test (so just recruited) anywhere.


    I remember Westmead in Sydney - it was one of four places where the MEND trial was set up. An acquaintances father died of COVID in Westmead. He apparently wasn't treated (perhaps had too many other pre-conditions) but he happened to have COVID seriously in one of the four damn places they managed to set up and still wasn't treated.

    Seems to me they've (Kilian, Jolena, the Chairman and the board have) outsourced much of the job of recruiting to a third party (and they may claim that that is necessary - and perhaps it might be) but perhaps it wasn't. Again it depends on details not disclosed (and which shareholders will not demand to be informed about). I see absolutely no reason though to congratulate or remunerate with bonuses people who do little more than delegate their duties to external contractors and take no responsibility for the failure of those contractors in doing the recruitment to a sensible plan themselves.
