Well Osiris previously managed to do two such trials, unfortunately both of them failed to demonstrate statistical efficacy.
I find it difficult to understand the reluctance to to further properly controlled trials. If the current manfacturing process (which has passsed FDA inspection) really does inprove potency, then a new trial should clearly show it. I'm sure the previous trial protocol is still available to search.
Looking forward to seeing MSB carry out such a trial, because without it, the chances of approval are slim to none.
