I bet Management would have a standstill agreement to prevent issues. They dont even have a board seat. They probably dont even want one. Its not what they do. Just because you have stock in a company, it does not mean you want to own the entire thing. You need the professionals to run the friggen thing. China has tried to go it alone before, and it has not ended well for them. Remember Cudeco? There are many resource companies in Oz full of Chinese and foreign investors. The emerging end needs them, whether we like it or not. I would have liked to have seen the funds do the lot and its over and out. They just are not around at the moment. Gold dropped to $1900 last night. If the gold price stays subdued (even though BC8 makes about $1000 margins at these prices) then the sentiment and sellers would only get worse. Nothing is perfect.
When BC8 bought Paulsens, people complained about that saying it was wrong and mined out. None of that turned out to be true. The opposite happened. Paulsens is now a fat key asset heading toward production next year. Investors get this process.
Anyone who has issues, can sell it. Its a free market. They could have gone to numerous brokers and done a massive 18c placement to endless retailers. Some only care about the day to day share price and have no intention to watch the company grow. There seems to be a lot of unrealistic expectations around mining in the small end. I think many just think it should magically happen the moment they buy the stock. Most companies take years to get up the head of steam. That is when the register changes.
I am not pro China on many things, but getting financed into production is hardly the end of the earth in this sort of market. There are endless companies who would love an Asian funder right now. They just wont get one. These groups have done deals in resources before, and have stuck with them. Bc8 still needs to close the deal off over the coming months. Right now, that is happening.

A standstill agreement is a contract that contains provisions that govern how a bidder of a company can purchase, dispose of, or vote stock of the target company. A standstill agreement can effectively stall or stop the process of a hostile takeover if the parties cannot negotiate a friendly deal.
