@Jacketed; in Victoria the Liberal Party stands for much worse than just 'nothing' - its record since the early 1990s could hardly be any worse:

Jeff Kennett's brutal government slashed and burnt Victoria - closing rural primary schools and gutting regional communities, regional railway lines were flogged off for peanuts along with Victoria's then state owned power system. Kennett's government even corrupted Victorian teachers' superannuation. It's legacy was the stuff of a failed third world state whose future targeted international gambling.
. From 1999-2010 the Bracks and Brumby LAbor governments set about resuscitating Victoria and especially regional Victoria.
. Affable Big Ted Baillieu's government was given the nod in 2010 but proved so hopeless they sacked Big Ted and installed Denis Napthine. He also delivered nothing that mattered until the very last minute when he signed Victorians up to build a worse than useless road tunnel beneath Melbourne Cemetery that would have exacerbated congestion in central Melbourne and cost $Countless $Billions to complete.
. From 2014 and continuing to this very day the Victorian Liberal Party very closely aligned itself with Murdoch Mouthpieces - today it's really just the political wing of Murdoch's media empire. Its ongoing internal recriminations, lack of leadership and ineffective policy development are profound.
Daniel Andrews is riding off into the sunset and unlike Morrison and Abbott does not intend to hang around. His resignation as Victorian Premier begs the question as to what realistic alternative is there in Victoria to the government Andrews has bequeathed to his successor?
