Until Covid so clearly demonstrated otherwise, Scott Morrison even publicly promoted Sydney as the 'Gold Standard State'. as the Coalition poured federal funding into NSW.
A clear majority of Victorians know only too well that the Coalition under Tony Abbott ran a knife through Victoria's auto sector - Andrews set about resurrecting what was left by building trains in Ballarat and Bushmasters in Bendigo. From 2013 to 2022 the Coalition refused to deliver Victoria's fair share of national infrastructure funds and almost never even bothered to interact directly with the Victorian People.
And yet despite all of that Sydney-centric Canberra opposition, Daniel Andrews' Government undertook what Victorians knew was essential to our future - including the removal of 130 of our worst level crossings and our 'Big Build'.
