If they were simply selling assets piecemeal to pay down debt - why sell this one? Why now?
1/because you can
2/they're willing to agree on a deal(norilsk?)instaed of argue and hold off paying what hey owe you.
3/ its a dead unproductive dog
4/ is going to save you interest
5/you make a cash profit on the deal
how many reasons can you think of if you really tried.
