Yep, so if 20 years ago you bought an old house on some land with an ocean view you can now be classed as a sophisticated investor when in actual fact you were just a committed surfer with an eye for a house near a decent break. That seems fair...or you could have started a hamburger joint which has exploded in trade as the populace exploded around you driving up the price of your business and real estate. From hamburger flipper and surfer to SI in only a few years no training involved. Come to think of it that makes e a SI I am going to get registered...will let you all know what happens. I have a couple of houses plus a business that does OK so should be able to get across the line...not much cash about but hard assets count apparently.
