It was worth having a look at the Mining - Exploration link. From that link was the following
"Previous explorers that drilled, mapped and sampled the area from 1980 until the float of' Citigold in 1993 include BHP, Homestake, CRA, AOG, Orion, Mt Leyshon Gold Mines and Great Mines."
There are some big names there, and all of them were not interested.
The drill results, seem to be low grade, over narrow widths. Even where there is some high grade intercepts, they are still over narrow widths
