Think about it. If you add an electric vehicle to the mix, the energy, unless all electricty comes from solar, wind or nuclear must come from fossil fuel. Study it. Draw two closed system where you add an EV or an ICE vehicle. The amount of fossil fuel burnt is the same (assuming an EV and ICE require about the same amount of energy). Do the analysis. It won't take long.
