However for shorter distances (Australia to Asia or around Europe) it appears to be very cost effective/Simple/efficient. A lot less capital costs to set up than Ammonia or liquid. Its a complete green solution using Ballards fuel cell system for ships. Yes definately a chance for first mover advantages. But in my opinion I can't see why European countries would go to the effort to convert it back and forth through ammonia for short distances. This is such a simple elegant solution with minimal infrastructure set up.

Can someone tell me why compressed hydrogen is better? Working ammonia based storage and engines are being developed in Japan and seem to utilise A LOT less complicated technology.. I would love to see PVS disclose some of the technical limitations they are pushing through when it comes to developing compressed hydrogen storage. At the moment they have a plan to build the storage ship but what about the all the limitations associated with compressed hydrogen ??
