I can see both arguments.
One, if the tech is so good why would he sell. Surely he is greedy like everyone else here and just wants that 40meter yacht to sail around in.
On the other hand. He pays out the options to get the shares to sell to get some money in the pocket. Pay his taxes and slightly lift his holding.
No need to think about taking out a loan. No need to worry about paying the tax bill. I suppose a win, win for him.

8 million still in shares. If it goes higher he is still in a winning position.
These folk don't generally care about money that much.
Met a guy with five degrees about 12 years ago. Stanford, Harvard, Oxford. He was just happy to work as a posty on his bike. Live in a shared house and pet his parrot. Life's good.
