I must say from this side of the ditch Julia sounds like she's putting on a fake Aussie accent... a bit like a Kiwi pretending to be an Aussie (occasionally useful). The NSW rail thing sounds like good old fashioned pork barrel politics. I guess the Labor Party wonks have worked out what is needed to win an election but marketing and politics.... it's not a pretty combination. Especially seeing the dagger sticking out of Rudd's back recently (Labor Parliamentary standard issue blade). Where's the respect? Don't envy you lot in deciding who to vote for..... none of them inspire much. We have some used Prime Ministers who may be available at a good rate if you get stuck. Helen Clark (at the UN at the moment), is not as pretty as Julia, but is a hard working pragmatist. John Key isn't available and maybe not for a long while. He may have a Hot Copper account as he was a forex trader a while ago, so I should be polite.
