You would think the gov't would be all over making at least some drugs legal specifically to get a tax windfall, let alone the possible health benefits and new industries. I was out in Melbourne on Friday night and using the toilet seemed to annoy others by taking up the prime coke snorting real estate! its absolutely everywhere. Imagine the windfall if every bag of coke gave the vic govt $30 - we might one day get out of the covid debt!
Hard to get past the fear factor of the wangs of the world, but the fact is people are already taking the drugs, and the only way they can get them are off blokes on the street.
That being siad, if i was a 21 year old that just spent his weeks wages on some gear for the big festival and some nerd said "throw that away its dangerous", I'm not sure how that would've gone down. But if it saves one person its worth it IMO. There really isnt anything to lose
