    Eagle888,

"My view is if they renege on lodging the costings they are not fit to govern."

So in 2007 Labor submitted all their policies 12 hrs before the actual election date - did that make them unfit to govern. They also said ohhh we will send our (ALP) policies under the Charter for Budget Honesty to Treasury but waited until the very last day to send theirs in.

Labor have a bad record on this (but will not admit it ofc), so the Coalition can point to Labor.

I think Swan or whoever leaked it to SMH was bad form. Swan could have easily just called a press conference and said:

"I have treasury advice about this costing etc etc" and there would not have this issue.

I think the Coalition have a fair point about submitting all costings to treasury in case more is leaked out, but I would like Robb to send them in anyway so it creates a precedent for the future.

A better idea would be that an independent body away from govt is established to rec'd both govt and opposition costings once an election is called. That would remove this tit-for-tat thing about costings.

Question is: Has Labor submitted all their costings - no body knows at this stage.

    Cheers
    Muzz
