The premise by the pro Labour faction on these threads is that ALL of the posters that critisize the current ALP,its policies, and J.Gillard are no more than mindless morons that are lackies of the Liberal Party. BIG MISTAKE! At this stage of the game you would have to be BLIND,DEAF & DUMB not to realise ALP under Gillard will do anything to retain POWER .Not because they have the interests of the greater good of all Australians.It is about POWER no more no less. What ever happened to the values that were the hallmark of the labour party of old? GONE for good I would say. Many points have been previously stated about the absolute joke related to the WASTE of monies related to the great stimulous package. To expand on one issue [of which I have intimate knowledge] that being the insulation fiasco. Do most of you realise that 90% of the insulation was imported! Now lets add insult to injury. Since the scheme was stopped [it will cost the taxpayer some $300mill and another two years to fix].We now have warehouses full of imported insulation that does not meet AUST standards.In essence this means that production of insulation in Australia is no longer viable until the inferior imports are sold . Instead of talking about job creation ask yourself how many "little guys" went bankrupt as a result of the great insulation fiasco.Those numbers do not get a mention do they? The only reason that I have expanded on the above is that I believe it applies to almost all of the ill-conceived handouts [to win votes]that this GOV has been responsible for. As an aside the cash handout that Julia gave to the AUSSIE WORKING FAMILY had the effect of giving the casino in Darwin the biggest weekly turnover in history. In my case I should thank Julia for the handout,the family went for a holiday overseas! What did you do with yours buy an imported plasma TV? In all case's great for our economy wasn't it ? Its only the BEGINNING the backroom boys will want their "pound of flesh",win or loose the knives for Labour have not been put away they are just being sharpened! It is a sad state of affairs that HONESTY ,DECENCY & MORALITY have very little to do with politics in this campaign.The negativity from labour is outstanding. All I know is that my and your children will be paying for the waste and self indulgence by the labour party for years to come.Before the GFC we had a surplus $35B we now have a deficit of $45B ,that to me means $80 BILLION down the tube! Tell me how much of that was WASTED? In conclusion it is INCREDIBLE that Labour are outlining policy promises that will only come into effect when they win not this election but the next one!YOU MUST BE JOKING. We live in arguably the best country on this globe ,Aussies really are a resilient hardworking decent people,my faith in the long term future of this country remains irrespective what short term damage is done by the Labour party that is hellbent on power for powers sake.
