ever since they were defeated in Nov 2007, the Liberals had not done any real hard work in coming up with credible policies. When the election was called, they had to come out with some hastily put together and ill-thought out policies. It is no wonder they are now scared the Treasury will find out their "costings" are not worth the pieces of paper they are written on, might as well use them as toilet papers (thank you Barnaby Joyce).
Headlines grabbing one liners are very easy to make, doesn't require much intellect. Tony Abbott is good in that role.
