It seems that in order to 'Keep America Beautiful' comes with a price - it's not Coca Cola who is at fault for the plastic consumption - after all, it's all of you who buy the products on offer and it's you that throw away 12 billion single use bottles per year and someone has to clean up 'your mess':

Those travelling to Africa be sure to visit lovely Tanzania for their pristine mountains - some of which may include man made mountains of plastic waste - @Taurisk - can't help but wonder just how much plastic is in the Austrian Alps eek.png) that wonderful lightweight almost unbreakable plastic, as according to Coca Cola the demand to switch from glass bottles to plastic was due to consumer demand - even as a report instigated by the company earlier clearly showed the environmental benefits of using glass bottles - but of course you the consumer demanded plastic - don't blame us, as we simply try to please you all.

Yes, we evolved, some from being market gardeners where consumers had less packaging to contend with into mass feed giant supermarket chains where profit comes b4 people and the environment takes a back seat and transfer of rubbish into poorer countries and exploitation of those living there. But all is well, as one's local town may be voted as the 'tidiest town' of the year. Tanzania and others like it well, it's not in my backyard thus not our problem - it is their problem, as their government allowed all those plastic bottles into their country or allowed Cocal Cola to set up factories making drinks that consumers are happy to buy in those wonderful light plastic bottles. AIMO
