If you're already investing even a single dollar at age 16 mate you're doing better than 99% of people aged 16-25.

Take it easy, at such a young age the effect of compounding will be absolutely enormous for you regardless of how much money you currently have. Don't stress about it, the more you can put into the market the better obviously but if you're not in debt in your 20s you're doing better than most. You won't make money 100% of the time in the market, but you'll learn a lot for when you are making higher income in your 20s and onwards.

Maybe see if you can do odd jobs in addition to maybe a retail role somewhere perhaps? These days it's pretty easy to advertise odd services online (eg airtasker etc). Assuming you're living at home expense free, even with low income work you'll be netting more income than most Aussies

Again, don't let it keep you up at night though. Even just thinking about investing at your age you are doing better than most
