There is Optic Fibre down your street and it is a shared loop.

NBN will be very different to that. It will be like the copper coming into your house now.

You will not be sharing the same optic fibre as everyone else which you currently do. Your service is a shared service with everyone else. Everyone in your street is connected to the same optic fibre.

Thats why when everyone is on it your speed slows down dramatically. Especially if they all try to do live video streaming. Its the same concept with wireless.

That is why NBN is far superior. You will not share the same optic fibre, just like you don't share the same copper wire now. It will be a dedicated optic fibre into your home.
