ALB want feedstock for Kemerton. Gina wants income from mining/downstream, but likes to (and is used to) being in control. Gina has signalled she has deeper pockets than ALB but also hasn't bought above their offer price which is a reasonably friendly action. My concern is Gina says to ALB you're not getting the rock, but I'll JV with you on downstream once initial offtakes expire and Kemerton downstream capacity opens up. With ALB onside she can make a bid for the rest of LTR marginally above $3 and the board is likely to recommend this as they had the ALB offer. Hope I'm way off and there's dividends in the future for shareholders but my concern is growing. If Gina sees long term income I don't think she has any interest in sharing.
