Imo, making people aware of something ("fyi & if you think it may help, discuss with your medical adviser") - as long as that all it is, should be fine.
Perhaps simply refer people to company's website for info & then rest is up to them.
Company will be approaching medical fraternity - this just comes from the other direction (ie via patients).
