A few things. Depends on battery chem first and foremost. From a tesla perspective.
1) NMC
- charge - suggestion is for day to day use keep at 80% max. If you have a big trip coming, charge to 90%+/full.
- discharge to 20% for day to day use, more for longer trips
- reasoning for the above is it shortens battery life
- the recommendation is you LEAVE the car plugged in whenever home and the limits are set to the above parameters
- warranty 192000km/8years with over 70% capacity of original otherwise fully replace. See bobs video for real
2) LFP
Can go to 100%. Still avoid full discharges
