Hi Goldi, I think the theory is as follows:
    1. Others short LTR on Gina's behalf, and Gina buys those 'shorted shares' shares at $3.
    2. Then after point 1, Gina uses her shares/influence to prevent the ALB bid succeeding.
    3. Then after point 2, and this is also a key one, ALB decides to pull out of the bid altogether (this is the key risk in the theory for Gina).
    4. Then at the time of ALB pulling out, Gina does not immediately counter by seeking a takeover of ALB.
    5. Then this results in the LTR share price drifting down, over say the next 3 - 6 months, thus allowing shorts to cover their positions and make a tidy profit (refer point 1).
    6. Then, as SP falls, at some point Gina decides to do a full takeover, offering $3 a share (and given the SP fall in SP to that point the theory is the takeover by Gina will succeed through shareholder exhaustion).
    7. If the theory to 6 was to work, it would require Gina to lob her own takeover bid before LTR starts production given where SP will be in production with that cash flow LTR is forecasting. If this theory is tru it is a classic takeover play before first production starts.

It is a sequential ordering which carry their own risks for Gina IMO.

My views remain as per Post #:70111937 and Post #:70111986 As I stated in these posts Gina is not a 'white knight' as just have to look at what happened at the former AGO to view the work in action.

    All IMO
