because while labor is in bed with the greens, "dirty" projects like alpha are going to have a very hard time.

state government policy has long been the bane of alpha's prospects. and honestly, if a business-friendly government got into power, I'd be much more inclined to buy back in.

digging it up to produce bitumen was investigated for the first time 2.5 years ago.
digging it up to produce bitumen by liquefaction for zero emissions is only being investigated now
personally i think zero emission bitumen will be championed by all factions in the regime
