speed of light question, page-4

OK - according to Einstein - the speed of light is ALWAYS constant. (3 X 10 to the power of 8 - metres / sec).
Now if you are travelling at this speed of light then this light is still the same numbner relative to you(the space traveller).
NO its NOT 2 times now- it always remains constant at above number.

The mystery of the reason is TIME and LENGTH dilate or contract.
It sounds like a stupid thing but yes - its true.

The only problem for now is we are perhaps thousands of years away as to travelling at CLOSE to this speed.
As for travelling to the nearest star for now even we could still take a few thousand years. So travelling at the speed of loght is still science fiction and far away.

Maybe a few previous alien ETs- visitors to earth may have some better answers than we have today.

But hopefully NASA and time will eventually give us some more clues and answers but not in the next few centuaries me thinks.
