Just for starters, what sort of things could happen in a twenty year period? Famine, Wars, Pandemics, Economic collapse, New AI Inventions.
What would be the opportunity cost of tying up your capital for twenty years? Every other investment opportunity you overlook for twenty years!
Stick to being a self proclaimed "tech investor". If you're advocating to buy and stick for twenty years, after a 92% decline in 18 months, then If I were you, I'd give up investing in the share market completely. I wouldn't even contemplate the minimum $500 for twenty years.
