I recall years ago talking with ANZ business bank manager about shares and how little the bank valued them(in your listed assets) .. he stated in their eye they would only give me around 5% weight of the value of my shares at the time ... Res property 70-80% at the time ... 50% for my commercial property leased out .. as equity to take another loan etc ...
I even put it to him what about if I held 1mill worth of ANZ stock ... aka be part owner in the company ... nope still 5% ...what about if I owned 5% of ANZ !!! yeah that would be different ...
