Personally, I don't understand why the market isn't reacting more strongly to this news. Perhaps shareholders have lost faith in the board. If the Pharmaceutical division is being sold for $900m, then the current value of Sigma has to be worth at least 76c per share. Based on their 09/10 report, revenues from their Healthcare division outstripped the Pharmaceutical division's revenue by 3.5 to 1. To my thinking, this means that SIP shares should be trading above $1.00. The current price looks cheap to me (I've doubled my holding today).
