Just saw a very civilised debate between Yes side (Malanddri McCarthy/ Ray Martin) and No side (Jacinta Price /Lidia Thorpe) on 7's final run home to the referendum.
This was in front of a small audience of undecideds. Worm was displayed on bottom of screen.
VERDICT: It's "over" for the Voice. Gone. History. Done. Finished. Demolished. Pulverised. Finito. Destroyed.
Jacinta Price....only had to look at her expression to know what she was thinking. Huge winner, spoke confidently, excellent wrap up.
Lidia Thorpe....she's very good when she acts like an adult and tonight she was an adult.
Malanddri McCarthy....spoke confidently, but as one audience member said, came across as a politician. Her wrap up was an appeal to the emotion, but fell off a cliff at the end when she fumbled for words.
Ray Martin....thanks Ray. There's a pasture out there. That's where you belong. Out of your depth on this issue - you're truly an asset to the No side.
Audience vote: Similar to the worst of the published Voice polls. High 30s.
Home vote: Catastrophic. I've never ever seen a vote this low...in the 20's.
VOTE NO EVERYBODY, so that we may all enjoy the evening of October 14th 2023....and forever after.
