I love this part of the post the most "Cost to business per annum $2.7b", yet no mention of the cost to business per annum of the MRRT at $3.5 billion (forever, not just short term). However, the MRRT is spread over a small section of society rather than the best performers over the entire spectrum of Australian businesses. Also funny how the post does not mention the fact that the business that cover this cost will be paying a new company tax rate of 30% rather than the old company tax rate of 30%. A great big new tax indeed! I would certainly be ropeable if my tax bill went up by an almighty 0%! Where on earth do we expect Australia's top performing businesses to find an extra $0, beats me?
Apparently if you support Labor it is reasonable to be hypocritical, end of story!
