It's too small of a net STX/TPD position to be excited about IMHO, but that's just little old me
As for the shorts, I think I've already stated a few times that we should focus more on the company's operational progress and less on why they are shorting it Bot trading, yes - which is quite clear when we see the live buy and sell bid movements during market opening and closing auctions because the rate of change is too fast for even multiple humans to perform, no matter how fast or efficient a platform they are using.
Whether MS is buying for themselves or on behalf of a 3rd party remains speculative at best. The question I would be asking is of all the energy players in Australia and in particular, the PB, why they would choose to take a position in TPD. Does TPD have something special and unique? Or is it significantly undervalued? Or is it something else? What's the benefit of a multi-billion dollar fund taking a 5-6mn position in an energy minnow? I have no idea by the way
