I can't really be bothered replying to this nonsense but let me put it this way - you convert spodumene concentrate to lithium chemicals via kilns that are fired by gas or diesel. Here is the irony, that gas comes from Australia that goes to China.

WA now has a gas reservation policy - when enforced the price of gas in WA will be a lot lower than the price of gas into China, and energy is the highest cost component of producing hydroxide and carbonate.

But this same Tom Richardson would go banana's if Australia decided that a gas reservation policy is the go - just look at the Fin Review articles when overeast tried to have a reservation policy. Labour is not a large cost in producing lithium chemicals by the way, and before you yabber any further why is Albermale and Tianqi building hydroxide facilities at Kwinana and Kemerton - here is a hint, close to the Dampier to Bunbury Gas Pipeline. Oh and LTR is close to the Goldfields Gas Pipeline. Rememebr WA has a gas reservation policy.

Let alone lets talk ESG and China's poor record there.

I am not going to yabber further as I posted on this in the politics thread a while back for those interested - Post #: 63836050

    All IMO
