The battle between the shorts and the SP is interesting. Since the start of the month the short position has risen by 11 million shares (a decent chunk of the daily turnover), but the SP has risen as well. The SP could explode if we get a decent October production number and they have to cover. I guess we all have to pray to the African rain gods.
